Spirent wanted a more flexible, cost-effective solution for file sharing. As its existing on-premises file servers and network shares was becoming too expensive. So Spirent Communications had sought answers in the Cloud. But after using a popular Enterprise File Sync and Share service for two years, Spirent’s IT department recently made a decision to move the entire organization into Microsoft’s Office 365 platform for storage, collaboration and productivity.
The Challenge: Migrate to Office 365 OneDrive for Business
“Office 365 is a complete suite and provides an end-to-end solution from a productivity standpoint. It has all of the basic Office features but also provides us online access from anywhere. Which we didn’t have when everything was running on-premises,” said Ryan Au, Senior Developer in IT at Spirent Communications. “Since OneDrive for Business is included in our Office 365 licenses, we decided to leave our initial Cloud storage service to save costs.”
In conclusion, Spirent needed a means to migrate to Office 365 from their previous cloud service. Including several hundred users and all of their content.
